Humidity + Temp Problem *Please Help*

My female veiled is going to lay her eggs any day now but i have a couple of problems!!!!

Im using a Brinsea Hatchmaker (not R) incubator Where the heat comes from the top.

The temperature in the incubator is 33°C (89.6ºF)

But the temperatures in the tubs are about 27.6°C (81.68ºF)

** Which reading do i use???? ** Or have i got this completely wrong?

Also how do i keep the vermiculite moist? I get it right so its moist but wont drip when i squeeze it but after a couple of days it dosent seem to be the same? Is it becuase its warm??

You said..."the temperatures in the tubs are about 27.6°C (81.68ºF)"..the tub temperature is the one that counts. I usually incubate them at about 76F.

Yeah the tubs have lids on. with a little pin hole in one corner
