YesHe used to be a breeder right?
Is he about to shed?Yeah i can make something work, it shouldn't be a big problem. I just thought my cham was eating them, meanwhile they were escaping and i was rewarding him with worms lol. I usually handfeed them anyway. He's just been moody with me lately.
same with mine. I have a free range I made that hangs from the ceiling and he loves it. I just set up his outdoor enclosure las tnight though and so this morning was his first spent outdoors. He will be out there most of the time now.At least weather permitting. And I will let him sleep out there some.Your cham sounds a lot like mine lol. Constantly wants to roam everything and everywhere. He gets a few hours out of cage time almost everyday. I think he's due for a shed it's been about a month and a half since his last shed.
crankiness can def be due to that. Mine is a moody shedder. I noticed he gets more picky during those times as well.Your cham sounds a lot like mine lol. As they get older it's longer. I'd up his mistings and humidity. Outside time is very important. I've talked with a breeder a lot near me and he said he has cleared up bad respiratory infections with literally sun and carnivore care. No meds. Real sun has a huge role in their overall health. My guy started getting brittle nails and come to find out its a lack of the body processing D3....simple fix is simply get him outside a lot. So today he spent most of his time outside. Around 3 I had to bring him in bc he was getting too hot. I'm going to set up a basking and UVB spot on his free range next week. That way I'm not worried about letting him roam where he really wants to be without worry about the UVB/d3 issueWell my guy's eating crickets at least. At 1.5 months should he be due for a shed? I thought they shed like 1x a month? I could definitely use some outside time, but i live in a row of townhouses and there isn't really much of a yard. I have a little balcony, but it's in the shade.
I just picked up crix tonight for him. Only a dozen. Going to start picking some up every other week to gutload. He will at least eat crickets better than roaches. Today I just threw a few black soldier fly larvae(calciworms) into the outside cage. He went after a few. He hasn't ate much past few days. I will make that boy crack. He will have to eat those roaches eventually. Just absolutely not offering supers until he eats his well gutloaded food. Supers are just hard to gutload well. They swim in oatmeal and get fatty of that. I do put carrot and collard greens as well as a little gutload in. But oats mold so quickly I have to be careful. My Beardie eats whatever the crap I lay in front of her. It's pretty entertaining to throw black soldier flies in her tank. She jumps and catches hem mid airWell my guy's eating crickets at least. It molds the oats very quicklySupers have a very short gut too, so you have to gutload them constantly. If you still have my "chow" you can easily mix that with the superworm bedding, my supers eat it like crazy.
I put just a few in a container with just that gutload, just a little oats, collard green and carrotIt molds the oats very quickly
