Hydroballs

Hey guys.. I'm wondering what kind of places sell the absorbent clay balls. I think they are called Hydroballs. I've tried to look it up but I'm only coming up with pet stores, and the companies in my area don't have any. Would they possibly sell this or a similar product at Lowes or Home Depot? I don't really have time to order it online right now. I might have to if I have no other options. Please help me out. Thanks.

Ok thanks. We have a few shops in the area, it kind of sucks cause they close pretty early. It looks like I'm going to have to hunt them down.

Check plant nurseries or grower's supplies too. They also refer to this stuff as Hygroton or expanded clay pellet planting media.

try searching for "LECA" or "Hydroton" or "expanded clay pellets".

I believe hydroballs is the brand name of one of the makers.

And as someone else said, hydroponics stores are your best bet

Thanks a ton guys. Out of curiosity, I had looked around for it before, but not too hard. I usually spend my days looking for anything I can use for my animals. It's always when I need it, that I can't find it.

I went to one of our two Lowes today and couldn't find it. I'm going to try and call/check on a few places tomorrow. I really appreciate you all giving me the correct terms. I had someone laugh at me today because Hydroballs has the word balls in it. They had no clue what I was talking about. Lol. Figures.. I knew the pet stores would be clueless. Had to try though.

I will be going to every nursery, greenhouse, and hardware store in the area tomorrow. It's going to be a busy day.
