What type or brand of hygrometers would you reccomend that are reliable, accurate and stick in the cage for my chameleon. Also, are they recommended.

same here. I got mine at home depot for $10. it is a combo humidity/temp digital gauge. i know the temp is spot on and the humidity reading is close to our house one so I would say they are a decent buy for the money.

I use ones from Lowes that are brand Acurite. I haven't seen them for sale since I bought 4 of them but they were $4 each. They take temps and humidity readings that I find pretty reliable.

The best one I've found so far is the Caliber III. I have two of them and they both read the same temp and humidity. Don't be fooled by the word digital, many digital's can be up to 10%-15% off. Most aren't but they can be. You can always do the salt test, google it, it's simple and free. They also sell pre-made test kits that are around 4 dollars. For the free test all you need is table salt, water and a Ziploc bag. The good thing about digital's is when they are off they tend to be off by the same % all across the temp range. So once you test your meter you can then just ad or subtract and always know what the humidity is.
