Hey all.
We are from the uk & have been reading your posts, over the last few weeks..we recently purchased our first ever panther chameleon, ( we named him hyperian means the great one ) he was 14 weeks old and we got him last Friday ( so a week today )
We are not sure if he male or female reptile shop said you couldn't tell untill around 6 months ish ,
We built a customised vivaruim out of a display cabinet , as the U.K. Is quite cold. We wanted wood , glass & mesh ( just making sure everything is ok ) please feel free to comment if there is anything you can advise us on,
We got a 2 in 1 basking light UVB & UVA 12 hours a day.
We got a ceramic heater temperature controlled for night time. Keeping temperatures around 30 cel humidity between 60-70 night temperature a bit cooler at around 27 cel feeding meal worms , wax worms now & again & live crickets & locus ,using calcium dust with every feed haven't yet used calcium & vitamins yet as not sure when too. misting around 6 times at minute untill we get a misting system we have live house plants & rope vines & hanging vines at the moment everything seems perfect he's eating & drinking fine. Started to take food from hand today goes slightly red underneath when he comes out of enclosure we let him come out on his own without picking him up we also gut feed his food with oranges & carrots .
Will attach a picture of his enclosure & him
Nice to meet you all
By the way we already have fallen in love with him / her
