soo about a couple of weeks ago i decided i would try and "experiment" with dovah and try to get her to feed from my hand. this was my entire process.

first i decided to use those 12in tongs with a cricket at the end and hold it by the opposite end keeping my hand as far away from her as possible. She took to it really quickly, after a week of that i decided lets try halfway up the tongs again she took to it quickly. then eash day i slowly made my way up untill i could actually hold the cricket with my fingers. she immediatly came down and grabbed the cricket. i got confidant and decided to try it again but this time i would tease her and pull the cricket back as she was readying her tongue just enough so she would have to move up and actually climb on my hand to get the cricket.

what do you guy thinks good jobs so far? im pretty excited about the progress i made with her so far

OMgosh!!!! Finally someone who tried this like me!!!!!!
I did the same process without the tongs when I first got my chameleon over 11 months ago and she walks right onto me without the food lure!!!

Check out the post labeled "handleing questions" I just posted how I did it like litterally 2 minutes ago!!:)

this is my Cham waking on my hand with no more food lure and she has been doing it everyday for about 9 months!!!!And my 4 month old baby boy is doing it now too!!Iv been working with him for a month ,and alue (older female) waits for me at the cage Door after breakfast

Keep up your good work and check out my story:)

I have done almost exactly the same but I've been hand feeding for quite a while and decided to try to get her out the same way as you did :) it worked and my girl was very chilled out. Then I did it the next day and she tried to bite be! Lol! It feels great when you can start getting a bit closer, well done!

I thought people were going to bash me for handling:) I'm so glad people are giving it a try:)
I just put on the other post, it took me about a month and a half to get alue to crawl onto me with no food lure and for tiny Richter it's only been a month and he does the same so just have patience and take baby steps, I remember I put my hand a little too close one time to fast and I got a scary hiss but I just regressed a little to the step she was more comfortable and progressed later and iv never been hissed at since:)

One hiss in the 11ish months Iv had her! :p

Hand feeding is the coolest! It sucked when I first started trying it though. I just held a superworm up for about 15 munutes before my cham went for it. It's funny watching their eyes dart from food to me to food again. Congratulations!
