I am not happy!

Laurie its coming my way. It looks like not as cold. I have to agree with the other person that mentioned husband moves you stay in the warm state. That is our joke, my husband wants to move to MN(northern) and I really don't want to move that far north to the cold. So when we retire the joke is he moves there and I move south. Up to 18 inches of snow coming to the northern part of WI so it should miss me.

oh come on laurie! who doesnt like negative weather, blistering cold winds, snow, snow, shorter day light, snow, @#$% cold temps... oh and more snow? LOL, Me thinks you talk the hubs into a winter home that is preferably south in location. Even better yet...A home on a island named madagascar?

It's about six celcius here. Supposed to snow Thursday. :(

You and I will just have to commiserate with each other! Most of these people just don't know what winter is. I think there is a reason this state is so large in square miles and has less than 1 million people.

I know what winter is, I just moved to FL after dealing with it for the first 18 years of my life! :D

We will have to commiserate Laurie! Today was seventeen celcius!!!! Was able to wear my shorts to physio. Tomorrow its going to be two and either raining or snowing. :(

Our winters here aren't comparable to what folks have out west and up north.... We had a freak snow on November 1st... at 38 degrees! No one predicted it! Woke up and it was snowing like crazy, and by the night time, it was gone! lol But I'm not thrilled about the cold either, I'm a Florida native so I can't stand the cold.
I looked at the temperatures this week and my orchids outside days are for sure over. We're going to be 35 degrees and below for about 6 days. So all 50 plants are currently stuffed in my second bathroom...... ugh.

I bet there is never a temp below zero in madagscar is there? We need to start a fund and buy maddy. We could all go there to live, in peace and chameleons.:D:D:D

No days below zero but it does snow in Antananarivo and other highland locations once and a while.

Best idea of the year IMHO! Laurie for president. Id vote for ya..Just sayin'

I really don't like cold weather. Coming from southern California I think Texas is cold! Ha it was down in the 30's last night! No.,....I don't like it!

75F today in Las Vegas, over night lows in the 50's. My chams are still outside. Suppose to be down to 60F high/39F low by Sunday; time for them to come inside-

Yesterday I was out in shorts and no sweater...today I had on my coat and a sweater. The rest of the week is going to be colder. Next week we will be getting snow too. :(

I lived in Jackson Hole Wyoming for a season at the Resort and the temperatures got down to 10F at the end of October. I did not stay for the winter when temperatures reach -40F with wind chill. I have got to say I do not envy Laurie and am content to live the 4 seasons in California.

Now how I not be happy when I wake up to a lovely -16. Oh yes that is without the wind chill that brings it down to -28. Makes me wonder why I went to my volunteer job yesterday day and will go to the other one today. I must be a real Montana person!!

The weather predictions say we will not see temps "warm" temps for a while. But on Sunday it will warm up to 23. A heat wave is on the way.

Laurie

You have some sunshine (happy faces) and warmth on these Forums to get you through the winter though.

Why not import those newly discovered Polar Chameleons from South Pole? That way they can go outside with you. The only problem is, you have find a source of those mini like sardines. Oh crap, they aren't chameleons, those are penguins. Hold on, spillt my beer.
