my baby has been sick for about a week or so. He still has 4 more doses left of his antibiotic. I was seeing improvement the last couple days. But then today. More saliva and bubbles around his mouth. What should I do. Been the the vet. I don't want to lose my baby boy. What Causes RI. Want to make it not happen again if he gets well. Please any advice to help him.

I am sorry to hear that your little one is still having problems. Did your vet do a culture and sensitivity test? Both are needed to find out what type of infection he has and which antibiotic will work to knock out that type infection.

No he gave him a vitamin shot, a hydration shot, and antibiotics. So if this gets worse go to another vet...

Try to keep him out of all drafts, keep him warm and not to wet. May sure the enclosure dries out between each misting.

Did your vet have reptile/chameleon experience? It's not that hard to swab the back of their throat and send it out to a lab for a culture.

They said he did. I am wondering why they didn't do a culture. I think I should call tomorrow and ask about that. I think his cage may get too wet. Also when I got him I had issues with the temp being a little low. How high should the humity get and also temperature for about a 6 month old? Thank you very much for your help.

He had improved quite a bit shortly after a few doses of the antibiotic. I thought he was on the mend. He has 4 more doses of the antibiotic.

If it gets really bad you have to extract the saliva. I use a q-tip and get him to open his mouth not sticking it in far just enough to stick the saliva the twirl the q-tip and the saliva will roll up like cotton candy. My vet showed me this after my chameleon had the worst RI she ever seen. And you will pull stuff from deep

It's not bad yet. He had salva real thick but it went away when I started the antibiotic can he blow a few bubbles if he dehydrated. I am hoping I don't have to return to the vet. Thank you for the advice. Appreciate it..

That is a mild antibiotic it might not work, but I hope it does for you. Look up reptaid for use after the infection goes away, it's all natural and it kept the infection from coming back for the 3rd time
