I don't know what happened...

Sorry for your loss cricket killa ,I've lost a Cham before don't give up all we can do is our best

Thank you all for the reassurance in my ability to properly care for these awesome animals. I'm still going to go through with getting a female for my Sambava Niro. I had plans to breed both him and Mojo, but now I just have him. He's a big teddy bear though and has helped me feel better.

Sorry for your loss. The only real way to determine the cause of death would be a necropsy, unless it looked like he drowned.
May your heart heal soon.

Man, I don't know how I missed this thread. I'm shocked. :( I'm also terribly sorry to hear of Mr. Mojo's passing.

These things are just so sudden, just like with my Chazam. He was a walking billboard of health when I left for the weekend and when I came back in on Monday morning, he was gone. I also chose to not have a necropsy done.

I don't think it was anything that I did wrong and I say this to say that I'm certain that it was nothing that you did that led to his Mr. Mojo's passing. Chin up and know that we're here for support. I know exactly what you're going through, so let me know what you need.

RIP Mr. Mojohnson

Been out of the loop here for a few days and going through some threads now. Sorry to hear of the sudden loss of our chameleon. Sometimes it does not matter what we do as far as care, they can pass away for reasons unknown. I know he lived a good life with you and you should not be hard on yourself.

I'm so sorry to hear this Trey! It is always terrible to lose a beloved pet, and even more so when it's so unexpected. With exotic pets it is always a guessing game because they hide signs of illness so well. Don't think of yourself as any less of a great keeper because of this setback. He had a great life in your care. I'm so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. :(

Thank you for the kind words, he was laid to rest under my favorite Japanese maple tree.

Trey, I am so sorry about Mojo. I don't know how I haven't seen this post until now, but I cannot express how much for I feel for you, your wife, and your daughter. I know you are a wonderful chameleon keeper, and you will know when you're ready to pursue another.

I may possibly see a young ambilobe in your future...
if my couple is successful that is.
:)

Keeping you all in mind,
Shelby
