I don't know what he's doing!

Ok im not for sure... but i have heard my veild chameleon make the same sound. but she has only made it when she has been a little to hot. so idk if that might be your problem but i do understand the poof sound lol .

I'm new so I'm not really sure. I got him 8 months ago.

I watched your video. I responded before about how I agree with Klowery on page 1. I still think he is expelling excess minerals. When my Veiled gets mad it sounds nothing like that. He hisses and head slaps you, then fakes to bite me. It sounds like a sneeze to me. That sound is identical to what my iguanas used to do. But since they are a completely different species , there is a chance I'm not correct. It never proved fatal to any of my iguanas. This is a first time for me to see a Cham sneeze, and I'm pretty sure that's what it is. If you are still concerned, seek a reptile veterinarian for professional advice

He's blowing off salts through his nose. I've seen almost every reptile I've owned do it, iguana's in particular. My chameleon does it as well, though not too often. I haven't noticed any white crystals on its nose, though this happened often with my iguanas and bearded dragons. I don't believe it means anything negative with their husbandry, someone please correct me if I'm wrong though.
