I had my chameleon we think hes around 4-5 months old and he was on my hand he fell on the wood floor. He seems to be moving around okay but he was definitely pissed off and mad after I picked him up. I had him on my hand about stomach level when he jumped off my hand. Im super worried? after words I noticed he had a small dark spot by his eye I think he may have landed on his eye. But I havmt noticed it being dark anymore. He's eating and climbing in his cage like normal

Look his legs, tail and ribs to see if they are broken (shouldn’t be) and monitor him for any case if he damaged his head.. Unfortunately I had both my chameleons fall from height about human leg length and they are fine.

He seems to be moving around okay and I set him down on a flat surface and he walked forward like normal. Just worries me because he's super young and I honestly feel as if I dropped a baby right now with worry

Dark spots are typically bruising...
It showed up right away by his eye but I don't see it anymore. He's moving around okay. I just watched him eat and poop. My heart hurts I feel so bad. Hes never jumped like that and we handle him once a day attleast.

Best to hold when standing on carpet. They are very fast when they want to be. While most falls they can get through ok if they land incorrectly it can be a very bad thing for baby, juvenile or adult.

I learned that now? I really hope he's okay. Hes moving around normal and eating. Jsut extremely worried about him that was a big fall for a little guy.

Jumping is a defensive mechanism. It's a last ditch effort to get away from a predator. I wasn't there so I don't know if it was a intentional jump or not, just wanted to make you aware.

Daily handling can be stressful for a juvenile cham so make sure you are paying attention to their body language.

I can usually tell when he's mad and just not in the mood to be held. He came out pretty easily when I got him out. The only different thing was I took him outside for a few seconds before that and then when we walked back into the house was when he jumped. We hold him once a day for about 10 min unless he's showing that he's not in the mood to be held.

This was a response to the difference in lighting most likely. Natural sunshine outside is different then what they get in their enclosures or in a house.
