I picked him up on friday, we are calling him Rusty!
I would like to know if you have anymore imput I might need to keep him in excellent health! Losing Wasabi to MBD really broke my heart...I've never had a pet die from anything other than old age before, I still feel awful.
So I have an Exoterra 10.0 UVB bulb (I finally found somewhere around here that sells the zoomed ones, so I will replace it soon) and a regular light bulb to keep his basking area in the high 80's low 90's. Theres another light fixture(fluorescent)but its for the plants.
I am gutloading my crickets with sweet potatoes, apples and carrots and with T-Rex calcium food for crickets. I am dusting 2-3 a day with Rep cal calcium with D3...it says to add heptivite so I will be getting that too...but for now Im dusting with the repcal. I also have Calcimize water conditioner but Im wondering if that might be too much?
Humidity is around 30-40, so I ordered a mister, but for now I am spraying him 3 times a day.
So far he seems really happy, he's wandering around everywhere and found his food cup after like 10 seconds. Hes eating well and Ive seen him drink at least twice a day. My wife was laughing at me this morning while I was on my hands and knees looking for poop.
