I hate to ask--Praying Mantis?

Ozzie is on a same ole same ole feeder strike so I am going against what I would normally do and I am going to purchase some praying mantis. I am terrified of these Alien looking bugs:eek: They give me the hebie gebies. I get chill bumps from the darn things turning their heads and looking at me but Ozzie must eat so I am searching for someone who can ship me some live mantis?

I figure since he liked the grass hopper so much that he might like the praying mantis also since it is green too. My husband said I should spray paint all the crickets green :rolleyes:

So who sells PM?
 
If you want to hatch about 100 or so out, go to mantisplace.com and order the chinese mantid ooth.. its $10.95 +shipping.
 
The one thing I will NEVER feed my cham is a mantis. I had one as a pet when I was in middle school, coolest creature! Fun fact, did you know a preying mantis is the only bug that recognizes humans and different people??

Praying mantis are so cool. Especially the twig mantis! I have 10 right now and I cant bring myself to feed them off because their so cool.

Depends on how long they've been as an ooth. I'm not exactly sure on chinese mantids, but there are some that take a month, maybe 2.

I'm actually waiting for Rebecca (from mantisplace) to ship me 3 Ghost mantids. They are so freaking cool.. hopefully by next year I'll be confident enough to care for either an Orchid Mantid or Idolomantis Diabolica. They are considered to be the most beautiful and amazing mantids.

I knew that! WHen I was younger, we had a family of them that lived in my rose bushes. when we tapped the edge of the planter, they would come out and sit on our pant legs until we finished watering the plants. then they would go back. I love them and will never feed them to my cham!

I love the people that are deathly afraid of them because they look like little alien ninjas. Super cool, I've seen a few here in Oregon and would love to keep one as a pet at some point :)

i thinkm they do look like alien ninjas. thus whatmakes them soo cool. I want to get an orchid mantis. thye are pretty
 
You know, I thought the regular green ones were cool. Now you tell me orchid mantis and here I've found one. Now I want one!!

I wonder where I could find one?? :D LOL

OMG. this is bad. my husband is gonna shoot me if I bring any more creatures into the house....
Ill just say.... its cham food.... then say the cham didnt want to eat them so now i have to keep them as pets!

Oh that's a good idea, I'm in college so my parents would shoot me. My mom knows too well that I would never feed that cool of a creature to my cham. Hmm good christmas present :D
