That's gonna be my mission once I get a house.

Awesome!!

You can never go to big when it comes to chameleon cages. It looks as though you shortened the cage it does not look 72 inches. I have had custom built 36x36x48 inch cages in the past and that size is awesome for mid sized chameleons. Quads, Deremensis , Panthers etc.. I could conceive going bigger for those species as well though.

Your calypatratus is going to be happy.

does anyone know when i can put my male veiled in this cage i built he is about 3 to 4 weeks old i think

okay great he does look pretty happy but everytime i try to cup feed when i let him see the crickets he just runs away scared so ill set the cup right under a branch and he will stay away from it does anyone know of a good way to cup feed

I know I'm a newbee but my Cham would do the same, then I realized it wasnt so much the crickets he was runnin from it was my hand, hes still getting used to the handling of him part. So Id leave the cup in a part of the cage he likes and leave the room for a while and he'd find his way back to the cup and eat. He will eat worms from my palm after looking at me for like 15-20 seconds wondering what I'm doin and somedays he turns and heads for the ceiling lol . He actually will eat more when he hunts vs cup feeding but I guess that's just his personality!

ya thats my problem he is scared of my hand but it just seems every time i put the cup in a good place they hop right out!

gr33n its funny how after you build one custom cage you start to get a craftsman itch haha
its rewarding and fun to do. im not sure i will buy a cage again. (knock on wood) haha

Deeper cup or hobble the crickets. Some members either break the legs or pull them off. I don't know how but someone will tell you I am sure
