What a little beauty! Leopard geckos are such amazing little lizards! Does he/she have a name yet?

It's been many years but shouldn't the substrate be sand mixed with a small amount of calcium. Or has that changed over the years?
Plus, I did have my last ones in a chameleon cage and it seemed to enjoy climbing on vines, screen, rocks and just busy movers.

It’s a she! Yeah her name is Bella because on Serbian word Bela means white so I transferred her name in english so it’s with two L

Well put of my research people dont use sand anymore. They use either coconut fiber or just paper. But I dont know cause I have her for 2 days.

I am sure it had something to do with impaction.. I know the majority of their droppings were substrate (back in the days). Nice new pet...

FYI: They lick a lot as they move, and it was thought they leave trail scents as they are very territorial with the females being the boss.
Just like humans.. ha ha J/k

Beautiful- The majority of my experience was during "no morph" days so things have changed a lot.

I love this thread! it’s interesting seeing what everyone is keeping. I’ll join in, I have 30 reptiles, a hamster and a mouse. My day starts at 6:45 am everyday of the year, getting everyone watered and fed before work and days off are viv maintenance, building vivs or water changes lol

1 Ambilobe panther
10 Hoehnelii
1 western Hognose
1 ball python
1 Brazilian rainbow boa
1 helmeted Iguana
1 crimson day gecko
3 tarantulas, versicolor, pumpkin patch & curly haired
4 beardies
2 red eyed tree frogs
1 crested Gecko
And an Axolotl

and a saltwater reef tank lol

@redhorse Thank you! I wouldn’t say I got them to pose, so much as a lot of luck and patience. I also used to be a professional photographer so I’m pretty good with composition and all that stuff. They are definitely a lot of work, but they are my chosen family & I treat them as such

Thank you! She has such a wonderful personality. We had a very stressful 6 week acclimation period, but she got through it and is doing great

I couldn't tell if it was male or female from the photo. I had a trio of them many years ago and later I had one each of the other two subspecies. Did you know that one subspecies (C. percarinatus) is a live bearer?
