For those who think it only happens to the new people, one of my 2 female Kinyongia tavetana was due to lay an infertile clutch so I put her in the laying bin. She didn't lay eggs instead she prolapsed and died. I received a male I ordered who came in dead, my male of over a year died a few weeks ago, and now this girl. I have one female tavetana left of my breeding group. I wanted so much to breed these beautiful tiny chameleons. But that is over.:(:(

Awww, Laurie, that is just so sad. :( I am gutted for you that you lost another and you now won't get any offspring from them. So very sad. It just goes to show the rest of us that these things do happen to even experienced keepers. Keep your chin up, Laurie, I'm thinking of you. xx

Thanks all of you. It was very disheartening, you can see the places she dug but was unable to lay. Poor girl tried so hard she prolapsed. It certainly makes a person feel helpless.:(

rip tink

awhh, that is a heart-wrenching story. whenever i experience losses, i always try to blame myself first. but, you can't.
you provided them all with a happy loving attentive home. its awesome that you were able to provide for them the environment they needed, and the experiences you received were as well awesome.

life goes on, & lucky we all are to have these precious beautiful creatures in our lives, no matter the time span.

Keep your chin up Laurie. It happens. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get things right when you take on a new species.

Just saw this Laurie! I had no idea! I am so sorry. Sometimes freak things happen, and it seems to be happening to a lot of us now.
