It's a sad day Chameleon Forum. Today I lost my 4 month old Nosy Be, Checko. I place his cage outside so that he can get some sun and I left the bottom of his cage open. The cage was unattended for about 2 hours before I noticed he was gone. I checked my neighbors trees knowing that Chams like to climb. This is the second Cham I lost like this. I feel like crap right now :(:(:(

oh no, that is horrible! How heart breaking to lose another chameleon. Dont stop looking, maybe you will get lucky and find him tonight in a tree with a flashlight.

 yike- well, dont give up - get looking !!! look first in close things, and start going out from there- fence tops too- tonight, get a flash light and look in the trees, even the one you have already looked in - also maybe check your gutters if he can get up to them - that stinks :( also maybe put up flyers - encase someone who has no idea what he is finds him - good luck , let us know if you find the little guy

Don't give up keep looking around for him forsure but make sure you get a recharable Qbeam spotlight works best or even a bigger size Mag lite an when it starts getting dark this eve an when its dark tonight be out in the yard an neighbors trees with the Qbeam or brite flashlight an shine it everywhere an youll find him.. its always easier to spot them when there sleeping. ive hadta find a few escapes this way lol an it works real good so don't give up..

That's going to be like finding a needle in a hay stack.. I'm soo freaking upset right now.. So upset!!!

it isn't really youll see get a good flashlite or the Qbeam like a few have said an shine it everywhere this eve-tonight an youll find him they bed down to sleep the color sticks out like a sore thumb so don't give up.

hugs to you ... but don't give up. Remember you buddy needs you now more than ever. So, Head up, flashlight in hand and start looking. if you have to try at night remember they practicly glow in the dark at night. we are all sending are well wishes your way. Hugs ...now get going and find you best friend!

Don't give up!!! I lost my male flapneck on thursday, I began to panic and searched the trees surrounding his enclosure and shure enough he was in the tree right above his enclosure. Don't give up hope you wil find him!

Good luck, I hope you find him. Try not to give up hope. There's a thread on this forum about someone that lost their cham for four months, and found him. So it is possible to have a happy ending. If you can get people to help you look, that would be good, too. The more eyes the better! Sorry you're going through this.

Don't give up. Keep looking because he's out there. Look in the trees/bushes the closest to where he escaped. They often go up the first tree they come too.

And if you don't find him right away, you may find him later. There have been members on here who have lost theirs and found them weeks and even months later. It doesn't seem like they venture all too far. I would also alert all of your neighbors. One member got his back that way. A neighbor found it on the screen door or on the side of the house. Good luck to you!

I don't want to give up hope, but this is the second Cham I lost.. I have soo many birds flying around these trees.. It's not looking good

Call it a night tonight get some rest if thats possible but take another look in the morning its still quite early to be giving up imo. I really do hope you find him as well as everyone on the forum.
