Ill be leaving for about 5 days at the end of May to Colorado. Just thought I would start planning ahead for the little guy. He is a Veiled wild caught and is pretty cool. Hisses alot but only bit me once so far. Once hes out hes super mellow. I'll give you 500 crickets for the good deed. HIs pic below.

What do you need done? Are you asking someone to take him or come to your house to check on him and monitor the dripper/mister? Do you need someone who can mist him 3 or 4 times a day?

I was kinda hoping somone could take him. I dont know anyone here personally so having a stranger in the house while im gone for 5 days isnt the best idea. As far as the care, the usual. Misting a couple of times a day, feeding ( he rarely eats) He is probibly the easiest cham to care for. I can bring his cage and lights or if someone has their own even better yet. I live just a few miles from American Cricket, and California Cricket so I can re-imburse the sitter with some feeders, or $ if prefered.

Dave I'm David ,I'm in s d also ,if I was to help u I would need a fecal test a clean bill of health from a good vet here in SD,the w c part is the issue at this point ,I wouldn't keep him by my collection but I love chams and I know u want ur cham to be safe .pm me ur email.

I can't take another cage in either. I wonder if you could talk with some of the stores and see if you can board him with them?

To be honest, you really don't need to feed him for 5 days. You could give him a few extra feeders right before you leave and have someone come in just to mist and water, those aren't "high skill" things so any friend you trust can handle that.

I would strongly recommend getting a good, slow dripper going so that your helper doesn't have to come in over and over.

Maybe one of your neighbors has a 12 or 13 year old who would like a chamsetting gig. That way you get the benefit of adult eyes on the situation without asking your adult neighbors to take care of your pet.

If u cant get a sitter, get a timer for the lights, then get a large container 2 1/2 gallon bucket with a dripper nozzle, now put the same size container to catch it ,now there is two things u can do put the catching bucket inside with a screen over it so he doesnt drown or put the buckrt underneath the cage with some kind of funneling system.as for food put alot of small Crix ( so they don't hurt him) and a Peice of carrot for the Crix to eat and baam there u have it no strangers in ur house.:) let me know what u think
