I NEED HELP CHAM WONT EAT

I do have a uvb for him but he just started to become very oilly on his tail and all around his butt hole it smells exactly like horse poop! I don't understand it the smell is so strong but I can't find anything on this website about the smell or the oil do you know of anything??
Have you had him checked for parasites? He needs to be seen and tested asap

You said the cage temperature is about 72F...it needs to be warmer. If the temperature is too low they won't be able to digest the food properly.

You said you removed awhat you thought was a butterworm from his butt...are you sure that's what it was? Are you sure it wasn't a part of him?

You really need to take him to a vet...his tail shouldn't be oily and he shouldn't smell. He could have parasites or an infection or a number of other things.

Good luck.

Can you post a picture of him? As stated by others, his skin should not be oily and chameleons really have no odor at all and the poop smells very little also. Something is not right.
right now he's not oily and I don't have a pick of it but it comes and goes hopefully I doesn't happen again but if it does I will make sure to take a pick but I did take a pic of his rear because it's brusied and I am in to looking for a vet

I did find a more recent picture but it's not that good of quality but if you can zoom in you can see the back of his leg and tail looks more "shiny" than the front part of him also the lamp behind him is just a regular light but it produced a lot of heat so when I take him out I put him next to that but never on it (so he doesn't risk a burn)

Those brusied looks like rubbing on an object, the skin is heavily damaged,it will need the prescribed topical cream with the vet visit.
