First off hello =D im new to the site and i own a panther cham its my first and ive had him for about 3-4 months now and im having a difficult time figuring out what type of panther he is im going to take a couple of pics right now and post them up if anyone can help me figure out what type of panther he is that would be awesome :)

Welcome to the Forums! Glad you finally made your way here. I am sure someone will be able to help you out once the pictures are up :)

The thing is i did and he said he wasnt sure but he told me hes gonna be blue and red so ive been trying to figure it out myself but i cant seem to do so o_O

I personally wouldn't have bought a cham if they didn't know what species it was of panther. Blue and red may be an indicator of a red or blue barred ambilobe, pics?

Here are the pictures :D

It's ok, we'll help you out as as we can :) Welcome to the forum!

Ah, I see you have a really beautiful little female. She really is super cute, I love that orange. She, unfortunately, will never have the colors that males have. And because all females more of less look alike, there is no way to tell definitively what she is. You could be a number of things, including a cross between several locales, and there's just no way to know for sure.

Well this is an interesting turn of events o_O the guy i bought it from told me he only gets male cham's especially the panthers cause they are brighter in color and mines a female o_O hmm i thought the females dont tend to have a lot of color on them ? he/she tends to show a lot of color on the top of the head usually a greenish blue and on the sides usually orangish/red circle outlines with blue in the middle and the rest of her body usually looks whiteish

This thread has a good example of how to tell the sex of panthers. In addition to color, the males will have a sometimes slight and sometimes obvious bulge at the base of their tail near the vent. You can see the bulge on the male in the thread.

Your female looks very healthy with nice fat pads and nice healthy looking eyes. Good job for the last 3-4 months!
