I think I’m done

Hi guys well I think I’m done with the enclosure, but I would like opinions. I think the enclosure looks a little bare on the top, since I can’t fit the pothos in it, now the basking area using a 60watt bulb I can’t get it more then 75 which I think it’s not high enough so I definitely need as stronger one. Also the uv bulb and hood t8 that I bought didn’t work :( so at the reptile expo they only had t5 which. I bought because I wouldn’t have time to get a replacement one by Thursday which is when the Cham gets delivered.
Also I hope he is going to be able to find his food in there. The middle is full lol

How old is the Cham that you’re getting ?! When they are small, they can get dehydrated fairly easily...
Your basking area should be fine with a 60 watt! I only use 50. They just need one area that’s about 27 Celsius and should also have areas where they can cool off in the low 20s! I would suggest getting a laser thermometer (point and shoot) to make sure you have areas that are cool enough as well. And also remember you have to mist them three times a day because they don’t drink standing water... just off the leaves! (I’m sure you know this already!) Other than that, our terrarium looks great to me! You may want to just move one of the sticks higher so that he/she has the option of getting closer to the heat!

Where’s that pretty Pothos hanging basketsLOL?

Your enclosure looks great! I know it is a little bare at the top, but just make sure that your new little guy can get within the effective uvb range.

The Cham is about 5 months, and the uv chart sts the distance that the light to the animal should be.lol that is a temp ray gun.

Sadly no room for the pothos, i think I need to find a smaller one to be able to hang.

Finding his food may be a big problem! It looks like the food can go out between the bands, an I correct? If I just see it wrong, then allis well.

Did the mean the wooden slats? Well they can hide behind them but they can’t get out. Then again they can hide in soooo many places in there lol

Enclosure looks great I’d put another few sticks towards the top if it was me. I like the idea of the side vine boards I never thought of that. Did you clean the plants before putting them that’s one of my pet peeves some say it’s doesn’t really matter but that’s just what I do.

I did lol and let me tell you that hibiscus plant is very full, not only did I clean all the leaves, I repotted them with organic soil, and cleaned the stones that I placed on top of them.

Looks good!!! Just make a little feeder cup station for him to eat from and he will have a contained little area to go and get food. I see you have basic drainage set up like me ha! I drilled a hole in the tray, drops into a bucket. I personally can't put sticks higher than what you have for my chamleon bec he digs at the screen. So I keep a 75 watt bulb at asking spot and it's about 10 inches away from basking. It's the highest point in the cage. The other spot is about 12 inches. But I have dragon strand large atrium cage, plus I free range him everyday. So he has plenty of roaming time.

I wasn’t planning on cup feeding him, just free ranging

I’ve tried cup feeding never worked! Chameleons tend to like to search and hunt for food more...much more like replicated natural environment. To me the more it is like it’s natural environment for the different species and feeding chameleons in general it’s a better choice but that’s only my opinion though. There are many other opinions on here and I’m not knocking anyone’s opinion at all.

I let my Jackson’s in a rain storm every chance I get and at least 4 hours of real sunlight but closely monitored. Does a chameleon a great deal of good for them. I let mine out on a tree free range for a couple of hours every other week to maybe longer. I keep taking them out at a minimum if you take them out to much they stress out and get discontented with the enclosure. Taking them out to mod a enclosure on outside tree or inside ficus tree works really well as least for me personally.

Never mind it should be fine
