i’ve had my panther chameleon for around a year and a little less then a half i’m first time owner and she’s laid 8 eggs then stopped i think the reason for it was my dad kept bugging her and now she’s not comfortable at first she layed her eggs in her plant digging then my dad moved her and when i came over here i bought a brand new small trash can and put half organic soil and half play sand i left her alone almost all day to not disturb her i’m getting kinda worried she layed her first egg on wednesday (12/18/24) it’s 12/23/24 im scared and don’t wanna wait any longer and she hasn’t gon back to her plant idk what i can do to make her comfortable if anyone has any help thank you very much

The very best thing to do at this point is to have her checked out by a vet. They can determine if she is egg bound and try medication or she may need surgery.
is there anything else i can do i’m afraid that my be out of budget im still very young ive read leaving her in soaked water but i think the only part is i cant make her comfortable again

No, you don’t want to soak her now or ever. It does little to nothing other than cause a great deal of stress. Give her a decent sized lay bin of moistened play sand and give her absolute privacy. Cover the visible sides of her enclosure with a light sheet…just the sides or even half the sides. If you need to check on her, cut small peek holes in the sheet. They only have the urge to lay eggs for a certain amount of time and hopefully she hasn’t gone past hers.
Why did your Dad disturb her? Are you able to talk to him and have him pay for a vet visit?

MissSkittles beat me to most of what I was going to say, but I would encourage you to listen to all she posted there - these creatures are very fragile and you need to be prepared for a vet visit if something goes wrong. Hopefully your parents are willing to help with that. Once this egg crisis is over, we'd be happy to look over your chameleon husbandry too - there are some things you can do to encourage very low levels of egg laying (or if you're lucky, none at all!) so you don't have to be as scared next go-'round.
