I think my veiled is gravid.

I have a female veiled. I think she is about 7 months old. The last couple of days she is changing color. And moving around a lot. I think she is getting ready to lay eggs. She is still eating good. About 6 large crickets a day. I have I pot with moist play sand about 12 in deep and 12 in across. I'm hoping she will lay them by herself. But her cage in in my living room and there is a lot going on plus we have 2 cats. She may be scared. Should I put a blanket over her cage for a day or 2. How long should I wait before I worry about her getting egg bound. Let me know what you think?

Just went through this with my girl too but she looks more receptive than Gravid to me, more pics would help. I'm sure others will correct me if I'm wrong. My girl was way way bigger when she laid, 64 eggs in all. But if your sure she is Gravid then yes cover the cage till she lays, not just a couple days. She will most likely take way longer to lay than you want but just be patient, she knows what to do!

Thank you for the input here are a few pics I hope this helps.

Well she doesn't look huge to me, like what @Brodybreaux25 said maybe more receptive than gravid at this point. She may be wondering around looking for a mate, but I am definitely no expert. I go to @Andee and @Kristen Wilkins (along with others) for my questions. They are a huge help in all things cham!!! to them!!

She's broad to be just receptive. Looks like she's is producing eggs to me.
I hope she will lay them without problems.
If she acts lethargic, sits low in the cage, has her eyes closed during the day, phantom lays then get her to a vet right away and let us know.. If she has her mouth open a lot post on here too.

She looks to be producing eggs . Make sure her lay bin is all set up . If she seems to sit low , lethargic , eyes closed a vet visit would be in order . Best of luck .
