identify female crix from males

I am wondering how i can identify the girl crikets from the males ...i am in the process of wanting to breed my own crikets.

Females have an ovipositor (long thin tube) at the back end of them and the males don't. Adult males creak and females are silent.

Wow, I thought the tube meant it was a male... for certain not very appropriate reasons.

nah the tube is where the eggs come out of its not the guys.. ahem... crix breed when they are babies too so i belive u just need adult females. correct me if im wrong.

Breeding is a lot of work. You could get 1,000 crickets for around $20 shipped.

Crickets don't reach sexual maturity until they are one or two months old...

Wings do not become completely developed until sexual maturity either...so if they creak they are mature (males).
