Hi i breed my veiled cham and she layed 72 eggs on the 19th june 2013 which have been in incubation since on a temp of 78.2. some are now going a lot smaller does this mean there nearly ready ? ive been told to look out for the eggs sweating although i havent seen this on top of the eggs just some of the smaller ones there is what looks like a slimy bit , but not sweating like ive seen on the google pics. Ive been told allsorts that if they shrink and get smaller pour a tiny bit of warm water around the egg but not on the egg , but i thought that was for eggs what had just been layed if they went in and skrunk im . Also with a veiled cham whats average they seem to be in incubation for ? the wait is killing me this will be my first lot ive breed :D also sorry for questions but is it true you leave them for roughly 24 hours wants they,ve hatched in the incubator tubs ? any info would be appreaciated alsoid say 20 out of the 70 eggs as i loss 2 at the begining have gone a lot smaller 1 has like dented in does it mean there hatching ?

Hi I read all that and if you did not see any sweat on them and it has only been apx. 6 mo, may need more moisture in the medium the egg are in, think it should be a little longer? should not be sinking in, unless you see the end of the egg spliting, it is obvious, when it happens and most eggs do expand a bit little while befor they sweat, then etc, hope this helps

Do you have any clear photos of the eggs? Veiled eggs take between about 6-10 months to incubate usually, depending on temps.

The temp is been at all way through at 78.5. I will upload some photos tomorrow. so do you reckon that eggs what are going smaller then the bigger transparent ones will die ? Ill get some photos on tomorrow so you could have look for me please. first time ive ever breed eggs so i wouldnt know thanks for replying
