If you keep more than one Chameleon...

Especially if they are different species, do you notice the difference in the way that they behave, their personalities and what they like/don't like?

I find it really fascinating.

I have a 14 month old male Veiled and an 8 month old male Ambilobe Panther.

Their morning routines are as far removed from each other than you can imagine!

I turn their lights on at around 6:30 am.

Zig, my male Veiled, is out and basking literally within 5 mins of the lights going on - I turn them on, make coffee, go and turn the shower on and when I come down, he is under his basking branch, all puffed up, and soaking up the heat.

By contrast, Ghengis, my Panther, can take as much as 45 mins to climb out of his sleeping place and get onto his branch, often blinking and yawning,
like he is a little old man getting up in the morning (he's so funny!!)

I turn the drippers on, as soon as the lights go on.

Ziggy completely ignores his - in fact, I have only seen him drinking twice in 9 months! However, as soon as Ghengis is up and sees the dripper on, he goes over to it straight away and has his morning drink straight from the tube!

I then mist.

Ziggy the veiled absolutely loves the misting.

I boil the kettle as soon as I get up, and let it cool for about an hour and then before I go to work I mist the entire enclosures with warm water. I swear that Ziggy thinks that this is his morning shower - he waits until I come with the mister and then stands at the centre of the viv, with his eyes closed, whilst I soak the viv. He even turns his body from side to side, so that he can get every part of him soaked! He then returns to his basking branch to dry off!

Ghengis, on the other hand, is not a fan of the warm morning shower, he sits with his eyes closed for about 10 seconds and then scarpers away from it.

I love the fact that they are so very very different and in fact, the chameleon that you would expect to be the most chilled and friendliest, i.e. Ziggy, the one that comes out straight away and loves his shower HATES me with a passion!! Ghengis is a gentle, lovely little lizard that has no qualms about me picking him up, although you can tell that he is not entirely comfortable with it.

They are amazing, the pair of them, and keeping them enriches my life more than I can tell you!

I do not own a veiled, but everything you have said about the panther holds true...at least for my little guy :D

That's hilarious!
My veiled HATES misting. He hides under his magnatural until it's over, then makes his way to drink from the top of the screen, and only if he's convinced I'm not watching.
My veiled, Anarchy, he thinks he's too cool for his cage. He's always asking to be let out, but doesn't like to be held so cleaning and free range time is always an ordeal. Not hissing or biting, just... you know, giving me that look.

My carpet, Telo, he loooves to be misted. He drinks right away, from any surface near by or he points his face up (sometimes getting on his back legs) and he obviously loves it. Telo could stay in his cage forever and not care, but if I put two fingers under his chin he goes for it. I have no idea why he's not scared of me. I've heard carpets are really shy but my guys the life of the party!

With both of them I offer a couple crickets by hand, and then toss the rest to be hunted. Anarchy always acts like it's a race and tries to get them all asap. Telo knows that I like hand feeding him, and prefers the easier prey. He would eat them all from my hand if I let him. Ain't nobody got time for that! :D

What color body/bars?
My girlfriends getting jealous of my chameleons so I'm thinking about getting her a panther in the summer...

It sounds like you have such a funny panther. :)
I have 2 panthers -Montia (an adult female) and Tobi (a sub-adult male)- and a young male Jackson's named Jax. :D
My panthers are not okey with misting, they don't like to be misted directly on them. They drink everyday though, love drinking from leaves. They don't like to be handled, they try to go away or sometimes they puff up and show me their teeth. They are not usually that angry but nervous. They spend their several hours under the spot.
Jax has a way different characteristic, he did never ever open his mouth or got angry to a human being! He is just a little lovely curious boy when he sits in his cage. If you handle him he gets a little scared and if you do something scary he closes his eyes! So cute but so sad too. He is such a poor scared little boy, no anger but just scare. :(:) Jax enjoys drinking too and doesn't care about being misted directly at all, sometimes he even drinks meanwhile. He does like to travel in his cage, not sitting under the basking or uvb at all. He is my precious little silly-horned boy and way less aggressive and less shy then panthers, but Jax can be aggressive (defensive I would say) when another chameleon comes too close to him.
