I know that if a chameleon feels cramped in a cage it may reach for the owner to get out. So, if they do not feel cramped, and are in fact happy with their home, will they get all hissy your hand comes near? Anyone had this experience? How long did it take you to work with him to trust you?

The person I rescued the veiled from kept him in a 2 foot enclosure and fed him twice a week.. so it's my thought that he is now not going to let anyone take him away from his new habitat..

eventually I'll figure him out!! probably not! ha

They all have their own personality. Some are gussy some are not. Just persevere with the hand, hand feeding and if he is still hissy you could wear a glove.

Our male use to love me. Never hissed or puffed up or anything when I'd go in and take him out and such.

But this past week. I can't even go in there to clean up or stray or take care of the plants without him getting really aggressive and hissing and puffing all up and such!

I think it's his time of the month lmfao.

Well he's definitely not eating from my hand.. But I'll keep working on him.
