Happened to me too... I got my male veiled maybe a month after I got my female. And I got my first panther maybe 3 months after that. And I would have more if I could figure out where to put them... :D

I just ordered my 2nd Cham, and planning for a 3rd in 2012. lol

Compared to my other hobbies , this is fairly inexpensive and not as time consuming compared to my other vices.

I am finally at the other end of the cham hobby. After a number of years and more chams than I can remember, I have downsized my collection. I no longer take in half the problem chams off the forum, or buy more that I should. Currently I have 1.1 quads, 1.1 deremensis, 2.0 panthers, and 0.0.1 mellers. Only the 2 panthers and the male quads are adults. This from a person who had over 20 adults all at one time.

The addiction never ends but sometimes you can get it under control. Well maybe cause I would like a couple more quads &.....

Or you could take the approach I did (sort of)...get one BIG cham like a melleri, free range it so it takes all available space at once. And, you only have one to look after with their big personality.

They must be.
My daughter wanted a cham so after months of study and a nasty cham husbandry test I gave her ( did I mention shes 7? I really did NOT want a lizard in my house) , she passed with flying colors and carrots our panther was added to our home. Well it is now 3 months later and I am looking for Grapes a female amilobe to add to our home. We will also be adding a Nosey be male at some point next year.
Sigh yep that is our limit. But I don't know who exactly is getting grapes for christmas.. Me or my daughter!

My mom is the same way :) She doesn't care much at all for my snakes but I brought a baby veiled over once and she fell in love. She wants pygmies! They are something else.

Carlton I am headed that way. I do finally have a melleri but he is just 3 1/2 months old. But if he doesn't quit wanting to eat me, I have problems when he is an adult. i have never heard of a mean melleri - have you?

Yes! I had one! But, all mine were wc; two were rescued. I've definitely heard other keepers tell about their evil ones. It could be he's intimidated by any creature larger than he is. He might mellow out completely when he's full grown and at the peak of his "power".
