Im new for chameleon

Hello im new for chamelon and this is my first chamelon. So i want to ask you is my chameleon looks ok ? because i have litte terraium and i try to decorated it good for it. uv and daylight etc. But still i dont know how chameleon looks like when it is healty.Thx

As far as ur enclosure id recommend having a bare floor. Nothing on bottom that can be eaten.. more plants and/or vines to climb. on. Chameleons like to be high up. so make ur vines go near the top. And maybe put ur plant on a stand. Or get a pothos plant and put that next to it on a stand..
The park bench may see very little actual use.. make sure it doesnt get moldy as well.
 
It also appears u have a baby girl. From the colors she's showing id say she may be slightly small for her age.. should be easily corrected..
You must also research on HERE about laying bins for when she gets a bit older.. she Will lay eggs regardless of being near a male or not.
 
I think it is man if i not make a mistake. because i bought it from shop and they said that is little man after that when i checked his legs there is a little part. actually still i dont have terraium. its aquarium and i try to make it for a little time like terrarium because soon i will try to make good and big one.
 
i do know that they do not like to be in aquarium bc they see them self and they stress out and look for a screen cage they like the air flow

Aquariums are not good for there lack of air flow. The lower becomes stale..

How are u supplementing? Dusting ur feeders.
If he has a spur on his back feet that looks like a heel. Then yes its a boy.

It'd be very helpful if u filled out the HOW TO ASK FOR HELP form I posted a link to in my first response. We need to see how ur caring for him to see if he's healthy and gonna stay that way. :)

Your Chameleon - The veiled chameleon , i think man , not more than 2 months and i care for him just in two days.

Handling - just one time in a day for a 10 min. i handle him.

Feeding - I feeding him with crickets. 5 crickets for a day.

Supplements - i have Reptivite vitamin D3 but i didnt use yet.

Watering - for watering i will buy waterfall tomorrow but for now i used sprey to the glass do drink from glass and for huminity but i never see that he drink water.


History - I dont know From Pet Shop.

By the way im sorry for my english. Im not so good speakers for english.
 
Cage Info:

Cage Type - Glass 50x25x40

Lighting - there is one exo terra day light spot 25 w and exo terra repti glo 5.0 uvb 13w. and they are turned on all day just night i turn off them.

Temperature - temp. in day between 28 and 30 celsius and at night 25 - 26 celsius

Humidity - i didnt check with meter just in day three - four times i use sprey with water

Plants - you can see plant on first pic.

Location - in room.

Bad English is okay be me as long as u get what I'm saying I get what ur saying.. so here it goes.

He looks like more than 2 months maybe 3 1/2 almost 4. It makes a difference he's.gonna be.huge by 8 months.. feed him as many crickets as he can possibly eat till about 6-7 months of age.. then he will slow down to prob 8-10 every other day.

Dust every feeder every day lightly witg calcium with NO D3 (it can be tricky to find u may have to order it online.)
Dust every feeder 2 times a month with ur calcium WITH d3
And also 2 times a month with a multi vit. (Do not so d3 and multi on same day)

The basking spot under the bulb should be 85 degrees. Until u get a larger screen cage then about 90-92 degrees. Only heat one corner so he can get away from it.
He needs a UVB BULB on 12 hrs a day every day. And replaced every 6 months. Reptisun 5.0 is a good bulb.. heat bulb can be a normal 60 watt house bulb. Once in bigger cage a 75-100 watt bulb would be nice..

No waterfall. They don't drink pools of water. All they do is add gross bacteria. Leave the floor bare. Maybe just a towl for now to soak up water.

Make sure to spray his cage with a spray bottle. Or hand pump chemical sprayer that's new and has been used for nothing else but water. His cage needs to be soaked 3-5 times a day spraying for a couple minutes each time with warm water.. this will be far easier with a screen cage.. also in a screen cage u can drill to allow water to drain. In a glass cage a towel must be used to soak up excess water. And towel must be changed daily. The cage should be allowed to completely dry out inbetween mistings. And an hour before bed time..

Ur biggest priority right now is to get a larger screen cage and many live plants and vines for.humidity climbing and hiding.

It is always nice to catch big problems early!

I am also happy this person is going to change their husbandry. This is a great reason why this forum is so important.
 
Welcome to the forums Melihgzl.
If you listen to the people here who have alot of experience with chameleons and make the changes they advise, your chameleon should be healthy and long lived.
It is probably much easier for your chameleon to drink water that's on the leaves, instead of on the glass.
Adding more plants should be the first thing you do.
Don't worry about your english--I can understand everything you wrote and obviously a lot of other people can too.
 
hello and thx for all your posts. its so difficult to find some info in my language so im here and im soo happy to be here . i like fall in love to my cham and i try to do everything to keep him healty and be with me as more as possible. so i listened you and first i changed mt cage and bought flexarrium and added more plants. and take off bench :). and i tryed to made dipper. i added some pics here. i wait your ideas.

And thx for your friendship (im not sure that its best word for here.i hope to understand me).

After these pics i take out my UVB bulb because some of guys from this site said that it will be better to take out. so now ;
