im sad

:) How is she doing today? Can you post some new pics of her? It's best to try to feed in the morning so she can get warm and bask to help digest. It is Monday Try calling the vet and see who is covering the patients while he is gone. Tell them your situation and ask them to tell you what to do. He should have plans for his patients while he's out of town.
I agree but either he or she doesn't have time or just doesn't know how to help her I'm Pi***d but idk ... idk what to do

How old exactly is this Chameleon? She may have a possibility of being gravid if she is old enough... Hoping the best for you and your Chameleon.

I'm more than possitive shes might be egg bound... I didn't do my reaserch... its my fault shes suffering I'm trying all I can .. she has refused the bin the water... idk..I gotta just sleep trying. and thanks almost 5 months or more

I would call back the vet and tell them the emergency you have. They may be able to give her a shot to induce her to lay the eggs. Most likely any vet could do that and take an xray to see if she indeed does have egs. Waiting another week sounds like it is going to be too late and she may be in pain and suffering. Can you post a pic of her?

Haters gonna hate, but I have to say this.
Are you sure you should get another chameleon? You currently have a chameleon mysteriously dying, and the only way to save her is to take her to the vet (which you don't seem to be that eager to do). So you just going to wait until she dies and get a replacement? It's not a toy, it's a living creature which you take together with a responsibility to keep it well. If it was a human child, would you let him die like that?
When my girl got ill, I found a way to get her to the vet. I don't own a car at all, and its over an hour drive.
You can hate me for saying this, but I've seen a few people like that. They would get an exotic animal, it would die, and they would get another, it would die... and it goes in circles.

Not really sure what's going on here...

I just called Oso Animal Hospital and Dr Tristan is there (currently in surgery) and will be there most of the week. They are an emergency hospital as well so you could take her anytime and get her the help she needs. You don't need an appointment, you can just walk in.

If you and your gma only have the one car that's broken what is your plan there? Don't you work or go to school where you might need that? What happens the next time you need to go to the store for food?

I'm sorry for how this is going to come across, but it sounds like you came here for pity. There is more you can do and you should make a better effort to get her the help she needs.

Yeah I'm getting another one and I was able to find a vet not oso but there is one out a further that's going to take her

Thanks for totally like u said hating... u don't know the whole situation.... but instead of bashimg on me... u could have said some advise on my cham.. but thanks :)

I really dont want to come off as mean or judgemental, but why would you get a pet like this in such a hard situation to care for it? It's just unfair for the pet. We all have problems sometimes but when you have a pet 200+$ goes no where very fast. :(

I really hope for the best on your little veiled. Please if you decide sometime to get another wait untill your can care for it better and come back here for advice.

I know how to care for it now. But its too late. I don't spend 200 for my charms I get the. From so.eons who sells them wayyyy cheaper.. and the problem was I didn't give ber calcium when she was younger .. j bought her on. Impulse .. ya I f***** up by doing that and j take full responsibility. But its messed up to off the bat.. not talking about u... judge me instead of some advise until I get to a vet.... this isntg facebook. Cmon I ask for help and ppl put me downa... ya I know what I did wrong ... she was my first anddd shes a female which is even more difficult to take care of. But I tried and still trying.

I'm not bashing you, you missed the point. It's just I know when you want something to be done, you find a way to do it no matter what. And you see, you found another vet! Congraz on that! Lets hope they will be able to save your girl.
But seriously, maybe you should think it through better? If you can't care for exotic animals properly, perhaps you shouldn't get them

Anyhow, I wish you best with your little girl. Keep us posted.

I dont think. My baby is going to last much longer ive done all I can even a vet.. but they cant see her so. The most I can do right now is let her be... keep her comfy and stress free Pray for the best and. Let her go....

Really disappointed.
Ive fallen in love with these reptiles and plan on getting a panther in a couple of weeks :)
I just wish he could have met his sister....

Solo ill be fine taking care of another one since I know what I'm doing but her illness is from when she was younger. And I didn't know much like I said I take full responsibility unless the vet says other wise. I'm leaving now to the vet

I did give you good avice. Good advice that will keep you from dealing with this again untill your ready. When i said 200+$ doesnt go far i ment in vet bills that all of us eventually pay. I wanst putting you down at all.

I don't mean to come in here and bash on you, but i was thinking the same as these other members. Why get another chameleon (panther, that you're so excited about) but you have a dying chameleon as of now that needs your help? I'm 21, and go to an art college with 0 income. I somehow managed to afford all my chameleons vet bills and made sure he's ok. To me, it sounds like you want your cham to die off so you can get a panther chameleon. Just all your posts don't make any sense to me. I've done a ton of research about my chameleon. I learned he wasn't eating for a few weeks so i said screw it and started force feeding him. And now, he eats...This is something you could do with your chameleon since you said she's not eating.

You could also use reptiaid, it's a herbal medicine thats recommended by a few members that help chameleons with food strikes. BUT, since you said your chameleon might be egg bound, i'd def for for a vet visit. Instead of paying $150-$400 bucks on a new panther chameleon, pay it towards your sick chameleon. I just took care of my little guy, and now i'm on the look out for other chameleon options. Once Jasper gets back to normal, i'll then think about really getting another chameleon.

But don't let your chameleon die then go ahead and get a new one. I may come off offensive, but i don't get why you would add in your original post that you're getting a new panther chameleon and you're excited about it and adding a smiley face while you have a sick chameleon.

Also you mentioned in previous posts not too long ago your cham was 6 months, now you're saying 5. Saying she's happy and healthy, now she's slowly dying? To me, it just seems like you're really unprepared to care for another chameleon. I'd suggest taking care of the one you have now, get her healthy then think about getting another one. Also, if you don't have a car to go anwhere, how would you take care of the smaller panther chameleon? It'll just add a bunch of more stress and money.

Again, i don't mean to come of rude and bashing you. But i just don't understand why you're even thinking about getting another chameleon already. Allot of other members may feel the same way as me, if not....Oh well. We all have the right to give our opinions on certain situations. I tried to help a bit aswell.

Good luck with you cham, and be sure to update us. I read you found a closer vet to your area. I would like to know what was wrong with her and the type of treatments you'd have to do to make her healthy again.

I had already told the breeder I wanted him when she wasn't sick.. shes been really sick for only about 2 or 3 days .. so I was asking for help on here.. but it isn't working... I. On the way to the vet now ..

Gabe I feel the same as you. Alot of what she says is contradicting. I am with you: take care of what you got first and then think about getting another. Chameleons are NOT cheap to keep!!! And the I am "so sad" but am "so excited" does not sit well with me with either. Sorry......

The petstore had her for two or more months before I got her so shes 5 or 6 months now they didn't tell me the day she was born. Most pet stores don't have apply that know what they are talking about...... franchises pet stores

Thanks, glad someone atleast understands where i'm coming from. Just this entire situation doesn't seem right at all...Also i don't understand how her grandma is ill, but spends all this money on chameleons when she could fix her car. It's a bit selfish in my eyes. Anyways, i tried to help. No need to keep stating my opinions.

I really hope your chameleon gets healthy and happy soon, and that you do the best you can to take care of her. Good luck

-Gabe.
