My Jackson Chameleon just gave birth to 13 new babies. The babies won't eat though. I have fruit flies in a screen cage with them but they are all hanging upside down. It seems as though they want the heat. It's 78 in the warm spot and about 72 in the cool spot. the cage is 18"X18"X24". Is this good?

Yup!!! That was the first thing I did. I waited a little while (a couple of hours after seeing the first dozen came out. There were about 8 that didn't make it. I'm glad I waited though because she wasn't quite done yet. It has been about 4 hours now and she hasn't let out any so I figure I'm safe now.

Congrats on the babies! Our hatchling veileds hang upside down too! Lol. Weird little creatures, but oh so cute.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Now the fun part. Keeping them healthy and happy and well fed. Any suggestions to feed them other than fruitflies?

Yep!!! I had it on the calendar that they mated on the 25th of August. So it only took around 5 1/2 months before she gave birth. I didn't even have them together that long either.

:DCongrats on the babies. They are so cute. You can feed them anything small enough for them to eat. The fruit flies, flour beetles, pin head crickets. I just had my silk worms hatch and they are so tiny they would work. Look under Josh's frogs and there are tiny feeders.
