Pascal needs home injections of ceftazidime has anyone used this before?
We dont have instructions and are running off what the vet told us to do.
We believe we are to inject it into the front of his hind leg, is this correct?

Yes, you want to inject it in a muscle directly so it is absorbed well. Other injectable medications (like injectable baytril) cause a lot of muscle irritation, but luckily ceftazidime doesn't have that effect. However, just an injection (of anything) will cause some soreness so I alternate legs with each injection. This time use the left hindlimb, then next the right, then back to the left to make it easier on him. If you are not comfortable giving the injection you can take him back with his meds and just have them show you how to give it the first time so you're more comfortable with it. My advice: be confident. He's going to try to squirm as soon as you stick him so be decisive. Know where to stick and when you're in give it fast. If it comes out and you have to poke again he's not going to love for it.
