Yeah we have giant ones like the ones pictured. I saw one the other day that at first glance thought was a giant Mantis. Then upon further looking it turned out to be a huge and I mean HUGE Katydid. I am going to try and catch some to breed them. Thanks for the care sheet.

How big do you mean? The one I found was an inch big.

Funny how this thread got posted the other day because just yesterday there was a MASSIVE one on my back door that I tried to catch and it went ape lol almost had it on my porch but it escaped right as i was scooping it up. This guy was like atleast 3-4 inches long though

How big do you mean? The one I found was an inch big.

It was around 3". It was laying on the cement in my back yard and at first glance I thought it was a praying mantis. But then looking at it closer I saw that it was a very large Katydid. It looked just like this one pictured http://naturalistguy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/mauiEucono22.jpg Insects here in Hawaii tend to get very big.

Lol. I live at 7,000 ft above sea level. Not many bugs live up here but yellow jackets and black widows. :/
