Interesting sleep behavior

My cham started to sleep on the foliage widely exposed as opposed to in the foliage like he used to. Nothing has changed, but he seems to be happy slept in his new spot.
Any of your chams do this or have done this?

Coda goes from out in the open, in her favorite hiding spot, or even where it gives me a heart attack and I cant find her lol

I pretty sure you have a female in your hands... If Im correct, please make sure you have the proper husbandry for a female, they might be a bit trickier than males chameleons.

Normal behavior to me. Not uncommon for them to rotate between a few different sleeping spots.

Yup pretty normal. My little guy swaps between sleeping hidden in his vines or just near the highest point of the foilage. He has like 3 sleeping spots haha.

IMHO
understand that offering them unnatural fake plants they will inevitable develop strange, hard to understand behavior, as this is nothing they are used to from the millions of years of evolution...

i would strongly recommend tou to consider to change all plants to living ones to simulate the natiral environment and then observe how the chameleon interacts with natural elements of the cage...

Really? The breeder said it was a male. He also has displayed reds, oranges, whites, teal, and green. Here are a few other photos. The second photo he was puffed up watching a cricket.

Looks like a little baby girl. I have male and female panther babies and they change sleeping spots often. And they sometimes sleep on a branch and sometimes on a leaf.

Yeah, he is tiny. He just had his first s shed yesterday and today he was showing some reds and yellows and lots of whites.
