Introducing Agnes

Thought I'd post a pic of what things are looking like in our house now that Agnes is here.
Still extremely small and controlled! ... Although it does look like there's room for one more enclosure under that light ....

Brad-you cannot leave that space there like that-what a waste! ;) Order another cage immediately. You need either something with facial projections, like a Fisher's, or something with color, like a Panther. With all of that great information you have going on there, you need to branch out and share your experience! And like kids, 3 is no harder than 2 to take care of! :)

Ha!

Actually have 3 more enclosures coming.
I don't plan to use any of them right now .... but I agree, that space needs to be used.

Probably for another female veiled though.

Congratulations, Brad! I cannot think of many things more exciting (I'm 55) than unpacking a new friend!! I would be beside myself with glee!

I get the feeling those chams have a better life than many people I know :D

Nice setups... it looks to me that you have room to slide that flourescent light fixture to the right and have it go all the way accross Kittys enclosure ??? Or is that an optical illusion?

I could ... however ... there is another 24" 5.0 across the back of the big enclosure and I will eventually slide the 48" one to the left for another enclosure there.

Brad, I was checking out your gallery and you dont have any pictures of Kitty fired up.
Your avatar looks like he is all mad and yellow.
Can we see a picture of him in full steam?

I see...

Well, I'm in the camp that you should get another female veiled :D

"crank out them youngin's" - said like a redneck (no offense to anyone living in Dixie...)

Yes.
We'll establish Kitty's "harem"
I have to say it is so nice to have this girl here .... particularly enjoyable to have a chameleon in the house who is interested in eating!
She had a dubia, a superworm and a silkworm today.
Kitty ate 2 waxworms:( and then he was done (Grrrrrrrr)

I understand that. For me, watching my reptiles eat aggressively is both enjoyable to watch and also a reinforcement that the animal is in great health.

It's always a bit concerning when one of them loses their appetite even if you know its part of a natural seasonal cycle...

I'm glad you're enjoying your new addition :)

Here's my girl drinking all by herself!
It has taken her a few days to figure out the way we get drinks here ... My drippers don't splash on any leaves or branches, just directly into a collection container. Sooo ... you have to drink directly out of the hose.
She's been getting extra heavy mistings, as I hadn't seen her at the hose yet, but this morning she was at it like a kid at the drinking fountain after P.E. !!
Yay!

by the way, I've decided my lighting and camera really sucks! I can't seem to get a picture that shows her real colors right now. She is pretty green.
