Introducing Darjeeling! A male Sambava

I got this guy from a local who was moving out of state and unable to take his reptiles. Darjeeling is a male Sambava, 1.5 years old and very, very laid back. He is from MB reptiles here in Oregon (a breeder I have heard mixed reviews on) I haven't gotten him to fire up yet but when I do, more photos will be posted. For now, here is the fat boy hanging out in his new cage.

I also got a stubbed tail female Ambilobe that is 11 months old and from FL Chams Inferno line. She is super feisty and tries to eat me anytime I look at her. I named her Kukicha. I didn't get any photos of her yet.

Also, Mr. Fischers went for a romp today...I found him trying to steal my laptop. :\ He is in a rebellious stage.

Maybe they are on a break?

You know, she is on the opposite side of the room. I have a horrible sneaking suspicion that she is unaware of what is happening. :( How should I break it to her?

....maybe let her see him with another pretty lady? :D

I don't know? Maybe she needs a hunky young thing of her own... Give her that credit card. ;)

It's this kind of eternal love triangle that makes me tune in every week!

Hey all, I snapped some more photos today. Here is Darjeeling hanging out in his enclosure and also Kukicha, the female ambilobe that I got at the same time as Darjeeling. Kukicha has a stubbed tail from being shipped as a baby. Her tail was caught in the deli cup and the end fell off without problem. She uses her partial tail very well. She is also quite a little monster and will not hesitate to race down her branches to attack you if you open the cage. Darjeeling is opposite- sweet as can be and almost dog like in temperament. Darjeeling was bred by MB Reptiles and Kukicha is FLcham's Inferno lines.

If you want to see him fired up, you should show the female to him. You don't actually have to breed them, and it is a tad bit mean to get him all hot.n.bothered...but he will live :)

You know, he only had fired a bit and head bobbed at my little male ambilobe (wasn't exactly the display I was going for)

It was horribly awkward to watch- he didn't fire up all the way and his eyes got reeeeeallly stripey on his turrets.
