Introducing my new Melleri..(Insert Name Here)???

So, I was at a local reptile store to pick up feeders for my Gherrosaurus major when I saw this little guy. The owner said that he had been in rough shape but had made a complete turn around....yada yada yada. He had him in a screen enclosure facing the middle of the shop. I kindly explained that Melleri don't appreciate a lot of foot traffic and that he would clearly benefit from being separated from the shop's tenants and customers. Owner says, "well how would I sell him if no one can see him"...I reply.."Melleri are too specialized of a species to be selling to the general public anyways" Owner says, "I don't agree with that, they are quite an easy species to keep" I reply, "Clearly you have never kept this species long term" Owner says, "He was my personal pet, but he just wasn't a very social chameleon so we were going to try another" I replied "I think that something other than a chameleon would suit you better(while choice words were going through my head) and regardless...problem solved, he's going home with me." So I would like to introduce the newest member of my Melleri clan. I have yet to pick out a name for him/her. He is fairly small weighing in at only 153 grams. I'm going to let him settle in for a couple of weeks and then I'll post some more photos. I always use local small business fronts for my reptiles needs, because they tend to be more passionate and knowledgeable than a Petco for example, but today worried me to say the least. Still so surprising to see that information given about these great creatures is still so inadequate.

He's in wonderful condition!

I've never seen one that wasn't a recent import, and you know how beat up they are.

One day I want one. I just can't get over their fabulous flaps.

Out of curiosity, what temps do they like?

I know, their occipital lobes kill me when they wave them back and forth! Mine are given a basking range of roughly 84-88 degrees. Their ambient temps are 65 to 80 degrees. They really like to cool down dramatically.
