My female Sambava has layed a clutch of 12 eggs and seems to be content with the fact that she layed them on the surface of her sandbox with no attempt to bury. Further it has been 36 hours and she has made no further attempts to lay or bury any more eggs. I have tried to palpate her to no avail, she just puffs up like a big stiff balloon, she's never liked being held. My question is this at what point do I worry about her being egg bound? She has never laid a clutch less than 20 eggs however, there is a chance this clutch could be unfertile could this reduce the number of eggs?
Any help or input as always is appreciated!
Thanks,
Nika
