Is Breeding Horn worms really that easy?

I think I got too many and too few chams that like the horn worms currently so I will probably have left overs and I am thinking now, it would be cool to breed them... is it really this easy?

Hornworms - Pupate - Pupae - Moth Form - Eggs (Strictly only get laid on a Tomato Plant) - process repeats

Is there anything people just add to bug burger to feed the hornworms because the hornworm chow seems similar in smell just harder.

You don't need to have the eggs laid on the tomato leaves. They will lay them on paper placed next to leaves they can't get to on the other side of a screen. They need moisture/humidity when they emerge from the cocoon for their wings to form properly.
There are good threads on them you can do a search.

I am in the process of the lifecycle of the horned worm. I bought a cup and before my cham could eat them all, the last 4 grew HUGE. After some advice and research, I turned the cup over in a potted plant and eventually the worms dropped to the dirt and DUG themselves down 4-5+ inches into the dirt. I was like "where did they GO??!" So then I got freaked out that they were in the enclosure with my cham, so I dug them out carefully and put them into a large bowl/planter and have been watering them regularly :p I poked around in the dirt after a few weeks and they had cocooned themselves (pupae) in a dark brown casing, but it wiggled when I poked it and I screamed LOL :ROFLMAO: So, I am hoping that moths will eventually appear. I suppose I won't be able to miss them... aren't they supposed to be ginormous?

I actually made the same meal worm farm one time and it didn't work very well. I've bred the hornworms and now silkworms and they are much easier. Good luck to you on your hornworm breeding!

So I hadn't seen the horn worm pupea for a couple weeks, so I dug around in our pot of dirt and found 3... there should be 4 lol but they are still alive... I haven't over- or under watered them. I guess I'll just wait for them to emerge :)
