* the first two pics dates are irrelivent to the pictures. the last pic is correctly dated about a month back.

I have a veiled that is also 3 months old and is closing in on 4 months (the 18th) and he looks about the exact same size as Darwin. I would like to hear what more experienced members have to say too. He eats plenty so i think it depends on genetics just look at the size of jannb's babies they could eat mine.

I think jannb's babies could eat a full grown cham lol jk. but seriously those babies are huge! Anywho Darwin looks like all the 3 month olds I've handled at my local petstores.

PS love the name Darwin, that's what I want to name mine when I get him

Omg I bought pedro at pets mart.
And the lady said he'd been there for about 2 months.
His enclosure was all glass and it was only about 6 inches tall, 6 inches deep, and maybe about 8 inches long.
And his only food was 3 crickets a day, a morning spritz and water in a standing dish...
Can u imagine 2 months D:

Im not sure how other petcos are but jesus,
I wished they'd stop selling them with out proper enclosure or knowledge of them.

Don't buy them from petco/petsmart. In doing that you are supporting them and the fact that they keep animals in very poor condition and just throw them out like trash when they get too sick to sell. When someone buys one, they just replace it. That shows that there is a market for them so they will want to continue to sell them. When you buy them, you show them it's okay to keep them in crap conditions! Don't support petcos/petsmarts at all! Not even for non-living things.

That's how mostly all petco/ petsmarts are. It is best if you didn't get one there, but since you did... make sure you take good care :D

Well I couldn't just leave him there.
I was actually suppose to buy a panther cham from some guy on craigslist but I got pedro.
And if it makes you feel better I talked to the manager there and told him how they really shouldnt be keep chams there and the next week when I went back (to return a crap light )
There was a couple of baby beardies there instead.
But I know where your coming from and I dont plan to buy there again
but don't yell at me for saving pedro D:

I'm not yelling, I'm informing. Don't assume things, after all this is text.

And it's not really rescuing unless the supplier of the animal does not profit from the taking away of the animal in any way. In this case, you supported the store by buying him (I think? Sorry if you didn't) and you freed up space for other animals to suffer. It's just continuing the cycle.

I NEVER buy anything from those big chain pet stores even if they have good prices. The other "prices" are just too high to stomach. I will always cultivate a good relationship with a private shop. You never know when it might pay off for an animal or you.

I have no choice but to go to petsmart or petco.. the one in my town is $h!t! you ask the owner of the place who is the only person that works there to order a specific thing for you and she orders the wrong one or doesn't even get it in! she is soo incompitant when it comes to reptiles too! she won't get snakes in becasue she says it scares the older people! pfft! yeah right! it scares her! lol :)
