I am not an expert and am fairly new at the chameleon thing but I thought that the main symptom of dehydration was sunken in eyes, not dark. I would keep checking though. If you have water readily available to them I can't see how that could happen... I'll tell you though, they do love their showers, have you tried that?

Dark could be caused by too much supliments like use of a ReptiSun 10.0. Geeting too much UVB (D3) or burns.. However I don't see pics to say my guess of what the cause is.

Sunken eyes can be a sign of more than just dehydration. IMHO its one of the later signs of dehydration.

Never heard of dark colored eyes being caused by oversupplementation and if the light is one of those compacts that are causing the problems with reptiles its due to the light produced by them being in the wrong range causing something similar to snow blindness in people from what I understand. Generally, the lizard's eyelids swell up and shut, and the lizard becomes depressed and lethargic. (Reptisun 5.0 tube lights are supposed to be safe.)

I can't see the picture so I can't really comment further on the darkness of the eyes. It might be perfectly normal...can't tell until I see the picture.

hes got dual reptisun 5.0

his picture is at my "panther health look "thread in the health section.
i would like a honest opinion on his eyes cause they are dark one of my veileds got the same thing but they are otherwise healthy.
