This week my temps are suppose to be around 65.

Would my jackson pair be ok out side for an hour or so?

With the benefits of natural sunlight is it possible to avoid using UVB bulbs?

I dont take my jackson out unless its 70*-72* but thats just me. Also when i take mine outside i dont usually leave it out for more than a day so i dont use a uvb but if its anymore than that i do.

I won't be leaving mine outside for over a day. I just want them to get some real sun for a couple hours a day when I can be outside with them.

yeah they will be fine. They do fine when the weather gets down into the 50s. Just be careful with the humidity.

Wait... you use a UVB bulb while they're getting natural sunlight? o_O

That would be great for them to get some sun !!! but would not leave them out for more than about 2 hours or so if the humidity is to high !! :D

It was about 65ish here in michigan today and I had as many of my chams as I could find trees to put them on out today in my back yard. In my back yard I have all the old trees from their enclosures planted randomly so they have mini free range tree spots. The trees are all 5ft-9ft high. I used a laser temp thermometer and their skin was in the mid to upper seventies when there wasnt wind. The sun was real warm today even with the cooler temps and all my guys brightened right up as soon as they got outside. My chams are miserable when they are inside, well not miserable but they def are brighter in the natural sun. The cage size for all my adults is between 6-8ft high and 3-4 ft wide and 3-4 ft deep so its not because of the space. I just think they prefer fresh air, real sun, and wild grasshoppers.
