Is my chameleon about to shed!? Or do you think it’s something else? the lightness on his face just appeared in the past 2 hours maybe

update!
it’s been a week since we’ve visited the vet. she’s still kickin it!! her eyes are still closed but her activity hasn’t declined. i’ve gotten over my slight fear of force feeding her and today i was able to feed her 3 dubias after not eating anything for a few days. it seems that she has more energy. i’ve been giving her her anti bacterial drops but i haven’t been too confident on wether they’re fully going in her mouth or not, because she doesn’t really open her mouth wide enough to get the whole drop in, but at the same time i don’t want to overdose her. i’m hoping that she’ll start to put on some weight now that she’s eating. i know 3 feeders isn’t a lot or enough but it’s better than 0 and i’ll keep trying throughout the day. thank you all for the love💕

Can you post a picture of the entire enclosure for us please? How many inches long is baby nose to vent?

ok this looks good. Just make sure you have a full 8 inches to the branches below the UVB light. This will put her in the correct exposure.

Your not running any lights at night, correct?

If it has not been mentioned getting a feeder run or making your own and then you load that thing up with tiny crickets... With babies they do not like to hand feed and converting to cup feeding is not a quick thing. But a feeder run they see the food and jump on it.

i have been considering getting one, i used to just let the bugs run loose on the plants and screen so she could hunt but a feeder run would definitely be a more organized way. i’ve tried putting them in a feeder bowl and leaving it but she would just watch them but not get close. i think she’s gotten accustom to hunting them down so i’ll definitely try making a feeder run before committing to buying one incase she doesn’t like it, thank you

This may be helpful for you https://dragonstrand.com/constructing-a-chameleon-feeder-run/

I would do the run... Then you can load it up with 2-3 dozen tiny crickets and they stay in that area. Will make it easier on baby to find food and with all the movement it will be more enticing to eat. Then you can also track how many feeders it is taking down daily.

Just because force feeding when they are this small becomes a bit dangerous. I would really try to get baby eating on its own.
