Is my chameleon dying?

A last week I noticed my chameleon was making weird noises (i.e. popping noises, coughing) and he started sleeping differently with his head up. I took him to the vet as soon as possible and she gave him some antibiotics.
I’m not sure how old he his but he’s really small so I assume he’s just a baby. He’s in a 16x16x30 mesh cage with fake plants, fake branches & a fake vine. I put hydroballs at the bottom of his cage. 50W basking light + UVB are on 12 hours a day. The humidity ranges from 60-80%. I spray him twice a day. The bottom of the cage is almost always 70°F & the top is usually in the lower 80’s.
I got him less than two weeks ago from a pet store. The first few days he seemed fine. I saw him eat two crickets within the first 3 days of bringing him home. He wasn’t interested in the mealworms at all.
He’s constantly standing on his two back legs and opening his mouth. He’s also moving around his cage a lot but I feel like he’s going to die soon :( His eyes have been closed these past 3 days during the day and he hasn’t shown any interest in the crickets that I put in his cage. My question is did I make him sick or was he already sick before I got him? Do you think he’ll pull through?

(In the photo I’m not squeezing him I’m just trying to get him warm)
(The last picture is of him right now)

Your chameleon is definitely not well....could be just a respiratory infection...but if its been on the antibiotics for a few days and it's not getting better then you need to take it to a good reptile vet ASAP. What is the antibiotic?

Can you post a photo of the bottom of the cage...Im just curious.

The antibiotics is Cleftazidime. I brought him to the best vet in the area and she said that he’s malnurished. She said the environment I have him in is just right and I just need to give him more greenes throught the crickets, & give him the antibiotics every day. Today is the third day he’s been on them. I haven’t heard him cough since the first day he’s been on them but he’s still sluggish and has his eyes closed a majority of the day. He lets me handle him when I have to give him his medicine. He doesn’t freak out like he used to when I first got him, which is worrying. Does he trust me or is he too weak to react?

I'm would cover the hydroballs because they look small enough that it might be able to ingest some.
Is it still eating? Pooping?

He hasn’t eaten in a few days (from what I noticed). He looks like he’s getting really skinny so I mashed up some worms & crickets & dripped them into his mouth today with his meds. Last time he pooped was yesterday. It was white.

Is your chameleon drinking? If it is try sticking a cricket between its teeth while the mouthnis opening and shutting while he drinks. It's better that it eats on its own rather than to have to force it IMHO.

may i know the doses of Cleftazidime that the vet give to your cham ?
60-80% is your room ambient humidity ?
