If it is a veiled I cant make out any tarsal spur. If it is a panther or something else better photos will be needed. If it isnt a species with spurs you will need to tell us how old it is what kind and get a good pick of the tail base preferably when the tail is straight. This will help someone identify better.

Panther's do not have a spur on the back foot, which seems to be what you were looking for.
The best way to sex your animal (aside from adult coloration) is by noticing the hemipenal bulge at the base of the tail (or lack of). He is definitely sporting a bulge!
