From what I’ve read on here and other sources, I should begin slowing down/limiting feeding for my Cham once they are closer to adult size/age.
I got Kiwi August 2021 when he was a baby (approx 1.5-2 months old based on size). He could eat 10-20 small crickets/Dubai’s a day.
Around 6ish months I noticed a lot of feeders leftover/hiding in his cage so I reduced the feeding to 8-12 medium crickets/dubias daily
Now he’s around 11 months and eating 5-8 medium crickets/large Dubai’s daily for the past 1-2 months.
I have been ~attempting~ to lower to every other day. But the days he doesn’t get food he will go to his feeder cup and look in it like he wants food :/
On one hand I don’t want him getting overweight and unhealthy. On the other I don’t want to starve him.
Notes to add: he’s been shedding a lot lately (section by section), and I’ve noticed him nibble on his plants more often since reducing the feeding.
1. Am I feeding too much/little or enough?
2. If too much, what’s the proper way of reducing the feeding schedule in a healthy way?
