Is my chameleon poorly

Chameleon Info:
  • Your Chameleon - Veiled, 8month male has been in my care for 6months
  • Handling - Every other day.
  • Feeding - he gets around 15 feeders all gutloaded with fresh veggies and bug burger.
  • Supplements - calcium without d3 5 times a week. Repashy calcium plus 1 week
  • Watering - Dripper for hour in morning and evening, 3 misting sessions for 3 minutes
  • Fecal Description - His poops are very small and black, his urates are small and white
  • History - no privous problema

Cage Info:
  • Cage Type: reptibreeze screen 2x Large connected together
  • Lighting - Reptisun t5 5.0 liner, basking light
  • Temperature - Basking spot: 85-90 lowest temp in cage 70. At night 60-70
  • Humidity - always stays at 40-50
  • Plants - Two umbrella plants and pothos
  • Placement - hight up in a isolated location
  • Location - England

Current problem:

For over a month my male randel hasn't been eating much, his grip is amazing he's drinking like a champ.

Ive noticed he is paceing around his viv alot and always wanting out, i also catch him on the floor of the viv alot.
He used to be greedy bugger but just isnt eating. I have alot of feeders. Silkworms, locusts, crickets, dubia, pheonix worms, wax worms, super worms. He isnt intrested.

The only way ive been feeding him is when i put silk worms on the wall of his viv and he will eat max 4. He weighing 134g

His colouration his dark green with brown bands, also his face is starting to get black markings.

He has got very tame this past month since he hasn't been eating. He doesnt eat the plants.

I have checked his poop for parasites and see nothing (i no you cannot see all)

He also hasn't shed in a month. I have been showering him regulary. His face has also gone very white.

He seems healthy and happy. He just isnt eating nor shedding. When i say eating he isnt eating like he was.

I brought some reptaid which im going try anyone else have any ideas?

Hi there, i'm sorry he's not well,:( Hopefully one of these great guys you mentioned will help soon, Sometimes messages aren't seen yet Remember the time delay for the U.S compared to here,
Maybe @Andee might advise too, I still don't consider myself knowledgeable enough to advise I'm afraid but I'll keep an eye on this and bump.

Poor little man. Have you had him checked for parasites lately? Parasites will stop them from eating and if they go untreated can kill them. Do you have a vet? A check up and fecal would be a good idea.
 
You say he's not eating like he used to? How much do you think he eats compared to when he used to when you aren't trying to bribe him with silkworms? Do you know what he used to weigh... like has he lost a LOT of weight?

This just reminds me when Ryker started to wean himself. He started eating less on his own and around 8-9 months or so. He also became much more active like your boy and since it's around spring time for us I am wondering how much he feels the need to mate? I am not positive what it's like for CB chameleons. I solved Ryker's "antsyness" by allowing free range time and safe outside time (in an outdoor cage) without having me hovering.

If he's lost A LOT of weight I would be more worried. But if he hasn't then I wouldn't. How long have you let him go without trying to get him to eat silkworms?

He used eat 15 locusts aday and now eats around 3 every other day. He wont hand feed, hunt very rarely eats out the cup.

I have a girl chameleon and he is always trying to get on her viv. He loves being outside his viv but cant free range infact i had him out a minute ago heres a picture.

Also he aint shedding :/
 
Shedding will slow down at the moment (weigh him regularly to make sure he's getting enough food), how large are the locusts he's eating? Free range him for at least an hour or so a day if you can (especially at this time, his hormones are insane and he just feels antsy). In my opinion this is pretty normal for sexually maturing males especially when they are cage bound for most of the day. But I do agree with Jann, taking a fecal into a vet if you haven't recently would be a good idea. And just looking for regular signs of illness that are like "He does not feel good at all". I also recommend feeding him a few worms a week when you can convince him. There's nothing wrong with slowing down at the moment. Ryker did this when he was in his prime.

Also the poops are incredibley tiny is this normal he also weighing at 134
 
Idk how often is he pooping? If he's pooping regularly and multiple times a week I wouldn't worry tons about it being smaller, as long as everything is digested in it.

Do you know if he has lost weight at all? I don't know what his weight was before the 134 grams.

134 is first time i ever weighed him, he seems to poop every couple
Of days
 
Hi @RandellTheCham the pic with white face looks to me like beginning of a shed . As @Andee said they will defiantly slow down eating when shedding . They can have a hard time shedding if humidity is too low . They Get stubborn at time and decide there not eating at all . Have you had a vet check for parasite ?

Like you don't have an exotic vet within 20 miles of you? Or you don't have a chameleon specialist? The only thing you need is an exotic's vet who does reptiles of any sort for fecals.
