She is eating but I haven't seen her drink yet. Would an egg bound chameleon eat and not drink?

Okay so she was showing the week after colors but right now she is showing the same colors as the second pic, but sometimes she still gets vibrant like the first pic. I think I'm just being paranoid and overly careful. I will continue to observe then, as I did just see her drink. She did just have a lay, I just had this expectation that her colors would change back to regular immediately. My girls colors become almost faded and muddy after laying. I prefer to err on the side of caution, so will say a vet visit for an X Ray is prudent.
Here’s one of my girls a few days before laying, a day after and then about a week after.

Agreed, but she's not as big as she was. I feel like her proportions are fine, it doesn't seem as though she's carrying excess eggs but i can't say. I really wish I had the money for an xray right now just to put my mind at ease. She's still alright as of now.She still looks plump in the last photo you posted.
So mine doesn't look like this right now at all, she's still showing her really vibrant colors like MissSkittles posted. So did my girl looked like directly after she laid her first clutch. She was a bit on the pale side, thin and wrinkled.

I missed this post last night, thank you. She is very beautiful, and I love her very much, I'd be devastated if anything happened to her.Btw, she’s very beautiful! I love her markings.
Absolutely and it was just to show you how they can also look after they’ve laid eggs.So maybe it's different for every chameleon? Some go back quickly and some don't?
Okay good because after her lay I could see she looked empty. Last night I woke her while she was sleeping, because when she passes out she usually isn't super mobile and let's me touch her without getting super stressed over it. I massaged her belly without pressing too hard, just squeezes being careful not to break ribs, and ran along her abdomen feeling for eggs, I didn't feel anything, just squishy green pancake. More updates to come, thank you for sharing and the advice as well.Absolutely and it was just to show you how they can also look after they’ve laid eggs.
I think the second day after, she also got her vibrant colors back. Only the wrinkles stayed for a few days. However you could really see she was “empty” and how you got used to the sight of her filled with eggs.
Thank you, I feel much better now, still keeping a very close eye on her but overall she seems to be doing very well. Still haven't seen her drinking much but ive been offering and providing water for her to drink. My guess is she's probably just drinking when I'm not paying attention, it's kinda hard to catch them hydrating.Congrats!!
