Is my sub adult ambilobe pregnant?

Over the last few days my female ambilobe has been lazy, not been seen eating but still drinking. Staying low in her set up, and is still pretty plump. What are the chances of her being pregnant? I'm not sure if I feel eggs or not because I've never felt one that was. Here is a picture though. Thanks

I would say yes. Do you have a laying ben setup for her? Her legs look a little funny could you give us some different views of her?

Looking at her color she's not sub adult. Those are adult colors. She looks very gravid, I hope you've been giving her calcium supplements and UVB exposure. I agree with brownie64,her legs look a little weird, more pics would be helpful.

Yes on calcium and uvb, I am setting up a laying bin for her now. Her legs do look weird in that pic though. I'll take more pics. I was told she's 8-10 months.

She looks very plump and full of eggs. I've never had a female before, so I don't know how they are size-wise in terms of age, but 8-10 months looks about right, and I don't think that's too early to start laying non fertile clutches. Get that laying bin set up asap, and if she's struggling to get around, maybe place her in there to give her a head start. I've also heard of people starting small furrows to help the digging process along.

Ok so I have her in the shower now, should I keep her in her new laying bin overnight? I followed proper laying bin setup of this site and have one separate from her cage.

Didn't want to say the MBD words without more pics. In the second pic her legs look fine. If the temps are good in the laying bin she will be fine in there, however most females start the digging and laying process in the afternoon, so I would wait until tomorrow after lunch to put her in there. If she hasn't been eating and seems restless the time could be close, but this is how most females are, there are always exceptions. If you put her in there tomorrow check on her around bedtime if there are no signs of digging let her sleep in her normal cage (maybe less stress) and try again the next day after lunch. Just my way of doing it.

Just seen you're message, I kept her in her bin overnight with no results. I'm almost sure she is pregnant but how do I know if she's ready?

She's not restless, just fat and lazy. Is it possible that she's just to well fed? She has an unlimited food source to hunt for.

Ok, well I put her in her laying bin and will keep her there till morning. Hopefully she's ready. Can it be to early still?

Yes it can still be too early. Back off the food a bit, the more you feed her the more eggs she's going to lay and if she starts laying 40 egg clutches she's not going to live very long. It's too late for this clutch, but she's an adult now, consider feeding her ever Other day.

Can I keep her in her bin from mid day to night when she goes asleep till she starts to show signs of laying?

I would have a bin in her cage so she doesn't have to be moved back and forth. It only needs to be an opaque container about 12 "deep by 12 "x 12 " in size filled with a moistened washed playsand. This way she won't be stressed by the constant moving back and forth and when she does start digging you can move her to the other bin.

Yah it should be in her cage with her like kinyonga said, And you could put some towels, or drapes to cover the cage to give her more privacy.
