Is my veiled a healthy color?

I have a male veiled chameleon who is not quite a year old yet. I am concerned about his color. During the day and when I bought him a few weeks ago, he is brown in color, while at night when he is asleep, he is a blue and green color. Is this normal? Will he grow into his color? His habitat temperature is 80-85 degrees with 50-60% humidity. he gets dusted crickets daily and eats well.

My boy gets a dark color when basking, and when stressed. Can also happen from something being off in the enclosure/husbandry. From the pictures it looks like your cage pretty bare and there might be some husbandry issues.

I know it super late, but I noticed what you said about your cham basking. The issue was his enclosure was too cold, only 65-75 degrees at the highest. I added another heat lamp so now its 85-95 degrees for basking and 75-80 degrees for ambient temperature. He seems much happier now.

I wouldn't let your basking spot go over 90 yet.
